Laser cutting is a process that uses a high-powered laser to cut materials. The laser beam is directed at the material, which is melted, burned, or vaporized. The laser cutting machine is controlled by a computer, which ensures that the laser follows the desired cutting path.
Yes, you can! Email me so we can discuss what exactly you are looking for. You never know I might already have something designed that just did not make it to the website or we can brainstorm what you are thinking of having created.
Cost will depend on several things.
1. How much time will it take for me to create.
2. How much material will it need to be created.
3. Is it a one of a kind or can it be resold to many people.
I do have a set up fee of $25 per hour. Please contact me to see how you can get something created and its fees.
Every once in a while you may see a sale going on or go to an event where you might get a discount coupon. This section is in addition to those.
On other items being sold if you purchase more than one of the same item you might possible get a discount after ordering 10 or more of the item. This would be if you ordered the exact same item.
If you are ordering, let's say, trophies or plaques and you want them all to say the same thing, then a discount for multiple items may apply. If you are ordering multiple plaques or trophies but each one has to have a different name, different event winning status ect, then each item would consist of being an individual item, as the set up for each would be different, so these would be considered one of a kind and not a duplicate or multiple order. These would not qualify for a discount. But if your overall amount of items are a very large order I always try to give a bit of a discount for that.swer to this item.
If you call, email or text Laser Lady you will get me Debbie. I am still a very small company and will be doing all the answering of calls or replies to text or emails. If you sent or called and I do not answer right away it could be I am busy with a customer, or am lasering and can not answer the phone at that moment (the laser and blower can be very loud making it hard to talk on the phone). Please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible. If you do not hear from me in a timely manner, please do not hesitate to call me again. I am human and sometimes things can fall through the cracks, and I hate when that happens. So please feel free to bug me. Also if I do not reply back to an email within 48 hours, please email again or call me. Sometime emails do go to the spam folder and I do not check the spam folder nearly enough like I should.
Yes, I do. Please go see the return policy on the website.
Yes, I will accept a check. If you are local to me and will be doing a local pick up you can pay by check. You will need to add a drivers license number and your name, an address and telephone number will need to be on the check.
If you want to order from the website and pay by check. I will accept a check but the check will have to be mailed to me and clear the bank before your item can be sent out in the mail to you. I will also need all above information on the check as well. Since this process is a long process I can instead send you an invoice via my Quickbooks where you will have the option to pay the invoice by using your bank and sending the money over digitally by a bank transfer. I am hoping this new website will have that same option.
Currently all order are made upon request. (I hope to in the near future to at least have 1 or 2 of everything on the shelves in the store to be able to just pull from inventory but I am not currently there yet). So depending on how many orders are before yours, you may get your order sent out the same day but I would say a week or two could be possible depending where you are in the queue and how much you have ordered.
If you are ordering a large item like the barn card holder or large quantity like trophies, please know to have at least possibly 4 weeks of a lead time. Cutting, painting and gluing can take a week or more on some items. As for trophies and plaques, ordering the right items, waiting on shipment of said items, set up of the plaque plates, engraving the plaque or trophy plates and assembly can take several weeks depending on the amount you would be ordering at the time of your order. I thank everyone for the patience when order items. See next section below.
I currently do not have any employees or helpers. I am a one woman show. There are several times a year when orders seem to all come in at once and I as the sole worker can get overwhelmed and feel I am in need of an employee at those times. Other times I can keep up on the work. It makes no sense to hire someone only for a short while then to just have to lay them off because work is slower and I can keep up. I feel once I open the local store I will need to hire the help. At that time productivity times will improve because I will have a second set of hands gluing and or packaging or at the very least going to the post office or UPS. But until this time, please have patience with me as I want your products to be made with care and precision. That way we are both happy with the product and their end results. I do take pride on providing excellent end products. Thank you in advance.
I try to use the cheapest and best timely method to ship out your items to you. If you just order one or two titles I may use USPS for the delivery service. Due to how slow they have become I have been using UPS for all larger size packages. They have a better delivery time usually within 2 days from me to most states around me. If you are ordering from California, I would expect it would be more like 3 to 4 days for UPS delivery. I have found that even just sending a regular envelope with a stamp can take up to 2 weeks sometimes to get to its destination with USPS.
If you do not get UPS to your location and need to use Fedex I can us them as well. I currently use Pirate Ship for my shipping labels and they do not offer Fedex but I will go straight to Fedex to drop off your package. Please advise in a message to me if you need this particular delivery service.
Yes, I will ship to the above locations. But because it is really hard to figure out what shipping will be on any combination of products to be shipped I will have a set shipping fee. This fee will be for the continental United States. If you just purchase and pay for your items knowing it will ship to one of these places there will be an additional shipping fee added to the cost of shipping. So please know you will be asked to pay that additional cost. If you do not agree to it I will just have to cancel your order. Shipping to Canada I know some times has been more than the product was sold for in the first place. Most people ordering from said locations usually understand there will be a higher shipping fee to ship to them so I hope anyone who orders from me is understanding of my policy as well. Thank you in advance for understanding.
Just because you do not see the product please contact me. I may not have it on the website because I am still adding items. It may be that I have already created something for it but feel I can not add it to the website but I will sell it to you anyway. It may be that it has not been created. If that is the case I can and will brainstorm with you to see if it can be designed.
I have many, many people whom which have contacted me and asked if I can do a specific project, let's say a cake topper. I may not have that on the website but I do create them. So please do not hesitate to contact me as I am usually game for a new challenge.
One thing I do shy away from is engraving of one of a kinds, antiques or heirlooms. I do not ever want to take the chance of ruining your item and not being able to replace it. I like to do things where I either have the product or can get the product readily at my fingertips. Or if it is a product that you purchased or have a specific piece of wood you want engraved and you know you can replace it easily then that type of situation is ok. I just have this nightmare of engraving on a one of a kind item and the laser malfunctions (it does happen) and I have ruined an item that never can be replaced.
As mentioned in the previous post I will engrave on your items.
Things I do engrave on are leather binders, your wood slat or other wood piece. I have done engraving for people who work with wood who need to have a piece of wood engraved. They all know that they need to give me a sample piece of the wood so that I can do a sample for them to make sure they like what the end result will look like. I then use the board they need engraved and do the final product on it.
Again as stated above no one of a kinds, no heirlooms and not antiques and usually no gun stocks unless you will be able to replace it if a mistake has taken place.
I do not engrave on stainless steel or any types of metals. I can engrave on anodized aluminum that I supply because all might not be the same. I do not use the product you can spray on stainless steel and the laser beam heats up the chemical. I have had products like this for personal use and inevitably the chemical will wash off. I want the engraving to be permanent and since I do not find that this chemical application is perfect, I stay away from it. Other companies are more experienced with this and I suggest using them.
My advice is to contact me to see if your personal item will work with my laser and is in my list of items I will engrave.
My laser bed can only hold an item that is 12"x24".
When cutting my wood or cardstock or other fabric of leather, the cutting will need to be slightly less than that perimeter. 1/8"-1/4"on all edges is recommended to come in by. As for depth, 5-6" is the max.
I can and I do. These however are created in sections that can be glued together as well as have a top layer added that will have the connecting sections located in a different area than the bottom area. This way the sign or other designed piece has the support it needs to stay together and not come apart at the seams.
Yes, I have my product in different stores. If your local scrapbook store or gift store could use my products, please let them know I exist and ask if they would be willing to carry Laser Lady products.
You never know if you are successful in setting up a connection there may be a special bonus for you because of this!
Contact me if you would like to become a vendor. I will send you all the necessary paperwork to set up a wholesale account. Please either email or call so we can also learn about each other and what sort of items you may need for your location or surrounding tourist areas near you that you would love to create for your store.
In the past I have participated in several of all of the above. They are a lot of work preparing items and setting up as well as sitting for one or two days at the events, not to mention the fees. In the last several years, either attendance is down or people are watching their spending. Shows have not been as successful as they were in the past. I find that all the prep time and sitting at a show, which is a lot of extra time, I could be back in the office creating new items. Does this mean I will not ever do a show or crop again? No, I am just very much more selective on when and where I will do a show.
Contact me and I will see what I can do. I try to limit the amount of shows I donate to because I could go broke for all the events I get asked to do. Contact me a we can see where I am at with my donations.
I can only cut certain materials. Paper, wood that is 1/8" or thinner, fabric, thin cork, felt, cast acrylic that is 1/8" thick or thinner, leather, and a few other materials.
I can engrave on all of the above and on anodized aluminum, slate, certain ceramics that are glazed so that the laser can burn off that glaze.
If in question always contact me and we can discuss your item.
